Shikkar The Hunt Review
Saw Mohanlal’s Shikkar from Innovative multiplex.
Went with least expectation since its a Lal movie. Surprisingly i liked the movie. The theme was different and good.
The movie is shot in some dense forests in Kerala. Cinematographer Manoj Pillai has captured some beautiful scenes in the forest.
First half of the movie was ok. There are lots of unwanted scenes of Jagathy and Suraj Venjaramood.
Since the theme is a serious one, the director could have made it more crisp by avoiding some songs and the so-called comedy scenes.
And there were unwanted action scenes also in the first half. Those scenes were unnecessary and was meant to give a larger-than-life status to Mohanlal, which could have been easily avoided.
The story really unfolds in the second half and its thrilling with some suspence scenes. The highlight of the movie is the flashback scenes. Really gripping. The Telungu song was too good.

Climax sequence was also good.
Padmakumar, director of Shikkar, is ‘evolving’ as a good director who can handle movies in big canvas. But he could have made this better since he had a strong storyline in hand. A more experienced director would have turned this into a blockbuster.
After a series of flops, superflops and blockbusterflops, Shikkar may give some releif to Lalettan.

If possible, never watch a movie from Innovative multiplex. Its a crap theater and charges too much for their sub standard service.

We saw Pranchiyettan in Innovative Multiplex.. Horrible experience.. The sound went mute around 10 times during the movie..
I had really bad experience from Innovative before also – for Spiderman, 300 and list goes on….
10 minutes of silence in Pranchi means you missed tons of comedies…..
Its not a great movie at all. But its far far better than all pokkiris.

It is already the biggest grosser after 20-20.
Truly a bad movie…firt half i very much dragging…As u mentioned jagathy suranj mani etc are unwanted characters…Villan does’nt look like a villain at all……Movie was interesting only when samudrakkani(naxalite) came to picture……..very good camera work….Lack of good screenplay….Expeted much from director Padmakumar
